- UD951B - Why can't this H951BT be used as an amplifier?
Yes,
UD951B isn't an amp. It can't be used as an amp. Small Speakers can be use directly, And high-power Speakers needs to connect with an amp to drive.
In some cases, if you find that your speaker is a high-power speaker, but there is no sound when playing, this may be the lack of a power amplifier. You need to add another power amplifier.

For the "analog output is only 2CH" in the software interface, you can ignore it. Because the settings there have no affecting for the final playback effect. You don't need to worry about whether there is only 2CH analog output option on the driver interface.
The H951BT PC-USB input is based on CM108 chip, which has powerful functions, including 2CH analog output and S/PDIF digital output, even mixing effect, etc., All of these will be displayed on the interface.
But the H951BT only uses its S / PDIF Digital Output function, output to another more professional AC3 / DTS 5.1 decoding chip by S / PDIF Digital, decode it into 5.1 analog output. The CM108 The 2.0 analog function of the chip is not used in our products, even if the chip with 2.0 analog output. So we just need Select S / PDIF output, others we can ignore.

- UD951B - why can't I use the original TV ( or remote control ) / TV box ( or remote control ) to control the volume after connecting the UD951B decoder ? What can I do?
Yes.
When you connect to the UD951B decoder and the sound of the TV or TV box is set to source code output (raw data / passthrough / bitstream), By now the audio signal will be decoded and output by the H951BT decoder, instead of audio decoding by TV or TV box. Therefore, the original TV ( or remote control ) / TV box ( or remote control ) is going to can no longer control the volume.
All is almost the case when you use an external / stand-alone decoder, Which you can no longer control the volume through the original TV ( or remote control ) / TV box ( or remote control ).
If you really want to control the volume by the original TV ( or remote control ) / TV box ( or remote control ), you can set the TV (or TV box) sound to the" PCM " output, so that the volume can still be controlled by the original TV ( or remote control ) / TV box ( or remote control ).
But the " PCM " output is only virtual 5.1.
